Terms of Appointment:
i. Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia or equivalent qualification recognized by the government;
[Starting Salary: RM936.00]
ii. have conditions of physical and sensory measurements as follows:
-high at least 1.57m for men and 1.53m for women without shoes;
Body-weight at least 48kg for men and 46kg for women.
-have a normal chest measurement of at least 79cm and 84cm during inhalation (men only);
Pass the vision test for left and right eyes in separate testing with accuracy of V / 6/9 without glasses;
-Faster colors and hearing is not impaired; and
-diperiksa and certified fit to serve by a registered medical practitioner.
iii. pass the tests set by the Head of Service as follows:
-mengangkat weight weighing 54kg for men and 46kg for women;
-menjulang and enforce the Ajax;
-menaiki rescue ladder 16.5m; and
-memanjat rope.
iv. pass Bahasa Malaysia / Bahasa Melayu (including Oral Test) in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia or equivalent qualification recognized by the government.
Appointment of Former Members of the Army:
Former soldiers of at least the rank of sergeant or staff sergeant who had served as Aerofireman Driver Class I and has ended with good service and an ability to speak, read and write in Bahasa Malaysia satisfactorily. Candidates must also fulfill the conditions of appointment specified in paragraphs (ii) and (iii) above.
Conditions Improved by Appointment (PSL):
Officers serving in the service of Firefighters is eligible to be considered by the Authority in respect of the PSL appointed to the position of Fire Officer Grade KB17, subject to vacancies, as has been confirmed in service:
i. qualifications in paragraph (i) above; or
ii. pass a special examination; and
iii. aged less than 54 years old on the date of appointment.
Description of Duties:
i. Perform work on fighting and rescue operations.
ii. Perform routine maintenance work on fire engines efficiently.
iii. Controlling the fire pump.
iv. Perform tasks efficiently drive fire engines.
v. Perform work in the control room and monitoring.
